Botox or filler? Start with the concern.

Understanding movement, volume and skin texture.

Expression lines and volume are different

Some facial lines become more noticeable with movement. Other changes involve facial volume or contours. Describing the area and the change you notice is more useful than choosing a product before an assessment.

How the approaches differ

Botox temporarily reduces activity in selected muscles. Dermal fillers add volume in specific areas. Neither approach addresses every concern, and some skin texture issues call for a different conversation.

Talk about how much change you want

Share your preferences and previous treatments. A consultation should help you understand whether a procedure fits your goals, what its limitations are and what preparation or aftercare would be needed.

Ask questions before deciding

Ask about the specific product, treatment area, possible complications and follow-up. Both are medical procedures and neither should be chosen solely on the basis of a trend or a before-and-after photo.
